Soon-To-Be-a-Hanger

Hi all,

I’ve been a long time lurker of this forum but I must confess I’m not actually a hanger. Well, not yet anyway. But after today that may change very, very soon.

You see, today I had the pleasure of spending some quality time with, and in, a Hennessey Ultralight Asym. The thing that has put me off hanging in the past has been the unavailability of purchasing quality gear locally. I’ve read all about it but there’s no substitute for “trying it on”.

Now that I’ve tried it on, I’m impressed. Very impressed.

So now all I have to do is 1/ convince the Minister of Finance (aka: wife) that the $400 outlay is actually cost-neutral and 2/ decide on a hammock.

While I liked the Hennessey and the fact I can get it locally, I think the Warbonnet Blackbird might actually be the one for me. Really, all it comes down to is the convenience of the side entry.

Thanks to everyone on these forums for sharing your wonderful stories, and helping ground dwellers like me make the great evolutionary leap and join our ancestors in the trees.

Rusty welcome to HF......to help with the MOF, buy here one as well! Don't do like I did with the signifigant other, what I spent on hammock gear she got to spend on herself equally.............exactly how many different shades of black are there????????
