I took a quick outing with the family last night. It was a 2 mile hike into camp. I went to set up on two trees I've used in the past only to look up and realize that they were dead (and almost certainly had been last time I used them as well ). No matter, I picked out two other trees.
There was a good chance of rain in the forecast, so I brought the 12' tarp with doors. It continued its stellar record of preventing any rain from falling. I set it 8' high and porch mode with the trekking poles fully extended.
Aside from that, the fishing was the best I've ever had in GA in terms of quantity, though I didn't catch any of particular size or beauty to warrant pulling out the phone. There were certainly some scenic areas of the stream that were worthy of pictures, but were left to my mental camera. I packed in steaks for dinner which were extraordinarily delicious. We got on the trail early in the morning to get my daughter to one of her friend's princess parties for a total time ~22 hrs in the wilderness.
