    Hello from the UK!

    Hi all,

Reasonably new to hammocking but I'm getting there! Located in Stoke on Trent.

Presently using a Onewind 11 foot wide hammock with a Crua Culla and/or a Nightcat underquilt.
Tarp is a pretty generic 3x3 - so im probably going to upgrade to the Onewind tarp shelter or equivalent.

Presently learning how to make my own ropes etc.

I usually use an Icefire top quilt but have also just purchased a lower temp sleeping bag to augment this.

Glad to be here - hoping to try a lay flat hammock soon - but chances are I will just have to bite the bullet and buy one (I'm a side sleeper)

I usually get out for a night or to at least one every two weeks - looking forward to colder weather to try out how I can handle it lol

Anyway - hello everyone (pics below on my insta)

Welcome to the neighborhood! I, too am a side sleeper. I sleep in a hammock every night and the gathered end works for me, but I'm only 5'4", so that might make a difference. I'll check out your insta, too.

    Hi Peter.

I have been using a spot not far from me called Intake Farm (near Ipstones) that has a little woodland spot or two. They also have composting toilets and hot water/showers about 50 yds from the wood. Very quiet as they only have about 5 spots for campers. Cheap, quiet and I highly recommend them if you’re up this way.

    Hope that helps

    Edd
