Hey there everyone, my name is Matt, I’m from LINY. Avid outdoorsman when I can find the time between work and family. I’ve been following the forum for years but never really thought to register and participate until now. I’m a 17 year veteran of the NYPD and getting out to backpack and hang in the hammock, even if it’s for the day, feels more and more like a necessity rather than something I just like to do here and there. Welcome Longggone, from somewhere deep in Uwharries. In your neck of the woods LonGUYlan, there are great hammock campers that camp often in wilderness areas near you.
They post hammock hangs here on Hammock Forums. If you can get any time off, you will enjoy camping with them. I got to camp with some from LINY and they are the best.
In my younger days, I did some deliveries in Long Island NY. I was raised in North Carolina, but don’t have a true NC accent.
A man from New York said Long Island but it sounded like lonGUYlan
He probably noticed my Carolina accent and helped me find a good route to take.
