Anyone headed up to the Catskills or anywhere else upstate this weekend? Was thinking of an overnight, maybe at echo lake Sunday into Monday weather permitting. Gotta test out my new Tensa trekking Treez

Hope you have a good trip. There are some hammock campers in your area. I think they have a running thread with their latest backpacking trips.
I don’t remember name of that thread.
With fall and cooler weather just around the corner, there will be more campers getting out on trails.
Do you paddle? There are a few of us who go to the ADKs as much as we can, paddle in sites, base camp and paddle, fishing. Next one is looking like Columbus Day Weekend.

I live a short walk from Kaaterskill falls. There are numerous stunning hikes of varying lengths and difficulty levels around the falls and North South Lake. There are an abundance of fantastic hiking spots and dining options to explore: https://newyorkrentalbyowner.com/blo...the-catskills/. Scribner's owns Fellow Mountain Cafe, which offers the best coffee and breakfast sandwiches on the mountain. I enjoy Olsen and Company and Love Bites in Saugerties for coffee and breakfast/lunch options, as well as Willa's and HiLo in Catskill. Additionally, Left Bank Cider Bar in Catskill is worth a visit. In Woodstock, I recommend Shindig and Silvia's for dining experiences.
