^Lol.... I was actually out testing different camo garments and testing
the rainfly for water tightness. I seam sealed it with 2 coats of liquid seam sealer (no tape) from wally world. Everything passed with flying colors.

Thanks for the link avalonmorn. They have a few selections that I like.

    Thanks Shug!

I'm right behind you. I'm planning on ordering some fabric this week to make my tarp. I was thinking of making mine 8x10. I'm slowly replacing all my old gear with Multicam.
Nice to hear the Military finally woke up and replaced that God awful digital camo that was getting soldiers killed.

Just curious, how much fabric did you order for a tarp? I was thinking about ordering more than I need so that I can also make a 'weather shield' for the bottom of the hammock.

Like that Multicam. Hope they come out with a 1.1oz (30D) nylon soon. Or even better a silnylon version.

The fabric comes in a 60" cut and you order in 5 yard increments. That's why mine came out 7.5'x10'. I cut it in half and then sewed the long ends together. So the seam runs across the middle of the fly.

I only ordered 5 yards but I wish I would have doubled that. I have several more ideas if I can get my seamstress to call me back. Definitely order more than you think because you will think of something else.

That would be awesome but I haven't heard anything about a 30D. That's probably too thin for their tastes.

Thank you! It's still under construction so the finished product should be awesome. I'm working on sewing some tie down loops and velcro strips to permanently attaching my guy lines.

He got turned around and didn't realize he walked in a circle right back up to his campsite. It wasn't until he got "splashed" that he discovered he was standing in over his tarp!
