I'll update as I can. I'm off tomorrow and need to go to town, but asked staff to let me know how things progress so I can post for y'all tomorrow afternoon.

The icy section has been in direct sunlight all afternoon, so hopefully that will help.

For those staying away from this one or on the fence, please let us know so Hickery will have a better idea of who's coming.

I've decided the daytime temps / wind are too cold for me. Can't stay in the hammock all the time.
    Have a big time guys.

I'm still in but depending on conditions or how I'm feeling I may leave on Saturday

Maybe you want to update the spreadsheet to reflect those that are definitely not coming

All jokin aside what winter footwear do peeps use to chill around camp...?

    Thanks for the suggestions

I was thinkin rubber deck boots and foot warmers so it waterproof incase it gets nasty, I don't own a pair of hiking/winter outdoor boots....
I hike in sandals, too. Have you tried Tabi socks? I bought a pair from Polar Feet (in Canada). They are made of polar fleece and work wonderfully here in the Georgia mountains.

It might be too late to order for this weekend, but maybe you could DIY some? For those temps, and sitting around camp, you might want to double up on the fleece. Or you could pair them with wool Injinjis.

Also, leg warmers help keep the blood warmer longer, keeping the feet warm. I have made some from the sleeves of thrifted wool sweaters.

[QUOTE=Need2noCallahan;2095528]You know what I’d like to see? A demonstration on how to use a bear skin rug quilt set. You got one of them laying around Shug?

Now you got me thinking. A bear hide might be a little small, but how about a hammock made of a Moose hide (fur on)? I wonder what the temperature rating would be (assuming fur side down)?

Cant wait to see everyone. Scott and I should be there tomorrow afternoon sometime.
