I use an 11 foot Warbonnet Thunderfly with my Ridgerunner with no issues. You won't have full coverage, as the 11 foot tarp is not long enough to allow the doors to fully close. This has not been an issue for me for 3 season camping. My understanding is you would need a 13 foot tarp to be able to fully close the doors around the suspension triangles. See attached photos where you can see the gap on the ends between the doors.

thanks Joe, great photos. I know they weren't taken in Maryland, let alone Queen Annes
thanks Countrybois
I used a shorter than 13 ft tarp with my RR for a long time. I was probably a Hennessy Hex and it was in the summer months. Doors were not needed for weather or privacy.
The 11 ft tarp will cover the hammock body, but you'll have to pay more attention to the water break on the suspension lines because they will be outside the tarp.
Has anyone tried to use those plastic tabs that come on bread wrappers as a water break. I've been saving them for over a year now. I have a Ziploc bag full. I figured I would give them out if I ever had a community college class about Hammock Camping - but only after I was sure they would work as a water break on the line. And there's the gold standard, the cotton shoelace.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
