Thank you for accepting me into the hanger group. I joined to get more info on packing lite, better equipment, set up. I had the opportunity to visit one of Georgia Barrier island, if you don't take it with you it's not available. The ferry only way on or off other than private vessels. 3 days in a hammock I had used one other time for 3 days. Looking forward to visiting Hang in in central Fla.

Do you have to sign up for permits or just show up and hike? Is there marked trails? Can you camp anywhere or do they have designated spots?

Welcome! I’m in the ‘Sham (AKA Habersham County). Lots of great places to hang in NE GA.
I’ve never been to Sapelo, but our family backpacked Cumberland a few years ago. All four of us were hammocking. It was a beautiful trip.
