A question for those who may sleep full time or most of the time in a hammock.
If you are married, what does your other half think of you sleeping away in a hammock?
Is your set up in the main bedroom?

Ha, good question. I'm not a full time hammock sleeper but in the summer, I do sleep in my eno doublenest a few nights a week. We have been together so long that she knows full well what a weirdo I am and just deals with it.
Seriously, she knows I have always had a hard time sleeping and is very understanding because she knows I do what it takes to get some sleep. Even if it means sleeping in the back yard, under a bugnet, in full view of the neighbors.
i'm a single guy, but if i were married... i'd just have to give up the hammock as a regular bed.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
I have asked to put a hammock stand in the room to sleep in my hammock, due to back issues. I was told "No effin way!" I am still plotting. Selective hearing comes to mind. Also I don't see the big deal, as we both work different shifts. I'll sleep where I want! *pouts

My wife wanted to set up a hammock in our place, but we don't have the ability to do that at this point.

I'm a full-time hammock sleeper; not married!
But, I'm not sure I'd want to sleep full-time in a hammock with another person. Even the enormous mayans that are out there will still push you together. It'd be great for snuggling, but every night?
If you're that committed to both, I'd go with two hammocks rigged right next to each other.
I've been sleeping in my HH a good bit since I got it and I've found I sleep better in it than in my bed. We are looking at new beds, but for now, the hammock is great. My wife knows how much I love backpacking and it is a non expensive adventure for me to see how many nights in a row I can sleep out! My hammock stand is very easy to move around and the HH can be packed up in two minutes and if it starts to rain ... run in the house! We've been married 27 years now, and we've arranged "things" that suits us both. She's says I pull the covers off her anyway! Ha!
Here's an advantage for the HH, I work outside a good bit as an Air Conditioning technician and have found that when the family gets sick in the middle of winter.....I live in the HH until it passes and never get sick!
Anyway, the trick is to somehow get the hammock in the BR and also have the bed for "things".
We'll see.
I (usually) sleep 2 of every 3 nights outside in my hammock, 1 of 3 I'm at work 24hrs. Like bhancock's; My wife has known I am Weird for years n years (n years n years etc.)
I can put in a set up for inside, & will probably do so before winter.
In answer to your question: My wife has no problems with me sleeping in the hammock, but then we have been married nearly 31 years (Aniversary is 08/21) so, , , , , , , ,
Doctari.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.
Add me to the list of hammock sleepers. I sleep much better in my hammock than in bed, my back problems and shoulder problems are not an issue in the hammock. Also married for over thirty years.... wierd for almost 60.
