I didn't hang the tarp yet. Yesterday was just a test to make sure I could hang the hammock, if at all, from rocks and build up confidence that I can actually set up a hammock in this area. I really don't much care to camp on the ground ever again. I'd have to say this test was a success. I had to get creative and jam a rock in a crack like a hanging nut and I used that to tie off to. I brought 60' of mule tape but I think I would've been more comfortable overall with 100'. It would've opened up a few more options at some other spots I found. The hammock was very comfortable, and I wanted to stay though, but it was getting late and I had a good hike out and it would've been pretty bad at night because it's all bushwhacking.
I’ve learned a lot from your videos — it’s sort of like knowing you, but not really, of course. Hope your recovery goes well — a few weeks of full silence sounds like torture. I hope your handwriting is better than mine :-).
Thought about typing ALL CAPS, so you can hear me, but thought better of it.

Glad you are on the mend. Your Marcel Marceau impression is coming along nicely.
Glad you are mending and still having fun while doing it. Nice bass work.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Shug!
Your video "Does Your Hammock Fit You?" gave me food for thought. Over the past decade, I've tried out a few gathered end hammocks of different lengths, widths, fabric, and manufacturers. I even tried to love a bridge hammock, but disliked the shoulder squeeze. My latest hammock was gifted to me and while it's good, it's not perfect. Your video has prompted me to cycle through my set of hammocks, looking for perhaps a better fit, and making note of what works and what doesn't.
Thanks for the nudge, Shug!
