If you have a large dog that you go about with, this offering might be worth the purchase price. However, since the developers did not illustrate the single user options it poses some questions.

To be sure, the Amok designers have addressed the single user issue, or the fact that two users might have to exit and re-enter the hammock at differing times, curious as to why this was not addressed.

Perhaps a low hang height would mitigate the use with a large dog, one could call the dog up and assist in cambering over your now bruised torso and hopefully the squirrel that starts chattering just out of reach of the leaping beast will leave you in peace.

Full disclosure: I have my Amok 3.0 and in use indoors I have a full year of blissful slumbers under the belt. Have also spent nights with a 65-lb Chow being trampled when he was in attack mode, in a Mayan-style weave in the 70's and 80's.

I would wait until someone has a chance to fully review this thang before purchasing. It's hard enough for one person to get in and out of a regular Amok Draumr; I can't imagine the middle-of-the-night exit and entry situation with this.

I watched the manufacturer videos, and you'll see that their technique is highly choreographed - just watch the timing of their body movements. Maybe the Norwegians are more dexterous than my fat American self?

I've had the pleasure to test the Draumr Double for a while, before the launch. You don't have to coordinate exits or entries at all.
Of course there will be a change in the weight distribution, but it's really not a big deal. The hammock actually feels more stabile than the regular Draumr and settles very fast.

The biggest issue with the double, is that you have to get in and out a few times to get the height of the straps right, to accommodate different weight of the users. The strap on the heavier persons side, needs to be a little higher up the tree.

I think this hammock is a real game changer for social hanging... 🤩👌
