Tensa4 11ft dream hammock (dangerbird) pole head room

Hello all hammockers this post finds. I hope you all are doing well and hanging around as much as possible!

Turning to the forums for possible tips on getting a little more head room in my tensa4 stand. I am rocking an 11ft custom Dangerbird from Dream Hammocks.

I followed Shug's suggestions of a little more room by placing the poles near my head on the outer side of the tensa (YT: https://youtu.be/6PlOp6NPOuA?si=17zkoMNtoU_LuXvP&t=531 ) . My new thoughts are that the width of my hammock is the root of my very close lay to the pole(s). When I ordered from DH i requested the hammock to be as wide as possible - instead of standard dimensions.

I am going to get setup tomorrow evening to share out some pics and vid tomorrow.

Just keep tweaking it all with the Tensa. It can take a few tries but when you get it write down all your Tensa measurements. Ridgeline and footing width. Try hanging foot end with closer and a bit more length on head end. Use straps or continuous loop.

Shug, Thanks for your reply! I think I was able to get it dialed in a bit more. I removed the ridgeline from the tensa to just use my hammock's. Also swapped out my continuous loops for a bit smaller set.

Glad to hear that I was going in the right direction.

Thanks to all that viewed the post, and again Shug for replying.
