Is featherind the best option, will they still ship 2lbs, or has the minimum gone up?
Anybody gotten this much recently have a current price?

Stormcrow (Perfect Trees) is having a sale on his 800 down, still, I believe
If you're going to buy that much, cut out the middleman and go straight to Allied.

Just curious but what does one need that much down for?
Some of my freight hopping adventures on film over at my YouTube Channel... Oh and there is other stuff there as well!
Quilts?
Hell getting into hammocking basically just doubled my down necessities.
Just got off the phone with allied, the girl I talked to wasn't very helpful. She seemed to imply around 25lbs min, and that I would have to submit buying projections along with a reseller ID.
Is there somebody else I need to talk to there? I can probably get access to reseller number, but I don't need 25lbs.
Other options?
PM STORMCROW!!!!

I emailed him about a lb a few weeks ago, and his price is very fair, but now that I'm needing 2lbs, I'm pretty sure I can get it cheaper. I know the price from featherind used to be around $150. I guess I'll just call them up, just thought somebody may have found a better vendor.
First off, I have stopped using Featherind. Their quality started to decline and they raised their prices significantly at the turn of this year due to new customs laws regarding shipping raw goose down across the border. It was going to cost another $285 per order just for the added paperwork (at least that is what they told me). It almost felt like they did not want to sell it to me any more...lol. The $150 was how much it would be for two of the pounds if your order was large enough that it did not incur the handling fee (less than 20lbs). The handling fee is 20% and that is before the currency exchange rate (not too much these days) and then the Customs charges start in....lame. Plus, like I said, they were starting to send me more feathers....booo on feathery down...
Regarding Allied Down. Their Customer service is a little sub par in my opinion. My shipments have been delayed many times only for me to call them and they had basically forgot to ship it... Having said that, I still use them because their down is nice to work with. Also, they gave paperwork regarding their processing and down ratings. There are a number of hoops to jump though to get down from them. They require a Tax ID number from your business. And as far as I know their minimum order is 15lbs not 25,( if it was 25 I would be getting that instead..). I put a call in today but the boss was not around to field my questions. Many times when I call there seems to be a little communication barrier as English is not the native language there. I am suppose to call again tomorrow.
PM me if you would like me to send you some that I do not have to put in baggies. I would lower the price a little if I did not have to do that...
