If a person had to use the tarp for a rain shelter (mine are usually used as a sun shade), I can't imagine they've ever said, "Gee, I wish I had a smaller tarp."
Well, I've had my 11' superfly for almost 10 years, and not once have I ever wished it to be bigger. Honestly I can't imagine it's going to be that big a difference. I think a 13' could be annoying though.

The superfly is huge! Hard for me to imagine needing a bigger tarp unless you were going full blown tarp and stove setup.

I agree with all this -- dyneema tarps are over-rated. Silpoly packs down smaller, is more opaque, performs about as well, and costs about 1/3 as much. For me with two quilts, volume is a bigger priority than whatever the few ounces are between dyneema and silpoly. I have a warbonnet mountain fly and it just seems like a perfect tarp to me -- just a great match with my ridgerunner.
