    Hammock-Friendly Campgrounds

Moderators - if this belongs under my other thread (Campground Blues), please move it over. I thought this might be a helpful thread on it's own; a shared knowledge base on hammock-friendly campgrounds.

I have created a Google Map that I would be willing to update (as I am able) as new hammock-friendly campgrounds are discovered and posted, here.

    Anyway,

    My question to the community:

Does any one out there know of, or could recommend, campgrounds that accommodate hammocks along US I-90? Below are the States I anticipate stopping to camp during my solo-motorcycle camping trip:

    Indiana
    Wisconsin
    Minnesota
    South Dakota

    Thanks for any help.

I’ve been to multiple Indiana state parks and they have never been upset with me hanging at a campsite I’ve rented.
We have two state parks near I90, in Angola and on Lake Michigan (also National park there at the Dunes). I’ve never used them but imagine it would be fine.
The rental website offers some lame photos of each campsite if you want to reserve and find one. I’ve used YouTube videos to find campground tours that give me a chance to pick the site I feel is best for hanging.
    Good luck and safe travels!

honestly I think this is deservant of its own category and perhaps a maintained shareable spreadsheet.

or honestly it would be better if somebody with some programming skills could prepopulate the list through some kind of automated web search set up to look for campgrounds and Wilderness areas, then pre-populate a column for the ones that state specifically "hammocks allowed" or "hammocks forbidden" or if they don't mention it at all "unknown", maybe as a drop-down list cell so that contributors can add the status from experience... maybe add the status "unknown (but got away with it)"

I know this part of it's easy to do in a spreadsheet, when you already have the data, but I have no idea how difficult it is to do an automated web search that builds one
