My conservative estimate is that there are likely ~400 hang spots at Yates Place. We've never encountered a situation where stands are required (although some of us bring them anyway). Come hang out!

In recent years, we have had various numbers of campers at Yates. During extreme cold coupled with daily rain there were just under 20 campers.
Our usual number is around 40 campers. There have been around 70 campers, when we were pleasantly blessed with both Shug and The Maple King. As great as Shug is on YouTube, he surpasses all expectations in person. Thank you Shug&Hickery!

Fall of 2024 has multiple hangs in our area. This will moderate our numbers.
I’ve not yet listed Palmetto State Hangers fall events, they will be an important factor too.
Grayson Fall Festival late in September
Wooley Swamp Farms first weekend of October
Gorge Rat Hang, ten consecutive days in late October
Yates Hang on Time Change Weekend

Baring extreme bad weather, or unknown circumstances, I believe Fall 2024 Yates will see about 40 campers.

At Yates, parking becomes scarce when our numbers exceed 50 campers. With a full fall slate of hammock hangs, probably 5, yes FIVE hangs in six weeks, there will be plenty of parking and no shortage of trees.

I look forward to seeing all of you, both new and old friends at Yates. I don’t comment much on our thread, because I don’t want Yates to be about me.

You Are Yates, We Are Yates, Y’all are encouraged to interact with one another in our thread, making Yates your own.
