The weather is breaking for the better over the weekend so I'm gonna go with the 3 season yeti... Friday night is hitting around 38* but Sat night is looking more like 43*.... being a cold sleeper I add 10-15* to the low rating to be comfortable and that guess has worked out well for me. I'm pushing it Friday night (yeti rated to 30*) but I can deal.

That frees up a lot of space in my pack not to mention weight.

All packed out for 2.5 days... Total pack weight is 25.4lbs with food and water.

Really love how the ULA Circuit can hold all my equipment and the side hip pockets are absolutely amazing at holding all my little knick knacks and snacks.

I'm averaging about 1.1lbs of food per day so at my calculation at my 40 mile, 5.5 days hike I should be around 30lbs the end of may.

So excited to hit the woods for longer than an overnight hike.... had the itch all day at work today and knowing that my 3 season mamba was sitting on my door step didnt help much.... And the mamba is perfect! I'll get my set up on video amongst the rest of the adventure.

Went to my friend's house this evening and helped him pack out his gear.... well 40% of it is MY gear ha ha.... one good thing about being a gear hog is that I have enough to share so others can join me if they get some of their own essentials. He's pumped, I'm pumped..... darn I better hit the sack I have to get up at 5am.....

    Hammock On!

At west mountain shelter day 2 awesome weather ton of video may be like 6 parts.

This shelter is packed with 22 boy scouts and adult leaders. May be a noisey night!
