    Hello!

Over the past several weeks I have been spending a lot of my time on the backcountry forums over at backpacking.net. A few days ago I got into reading some posts from people that had hammocks. I was intrigued because (for some reason) hammocking had never crossed my mind.

I started doing a little bit of research, and asking some questions. I was directed to this board for all my hammocking needs.

I look forward to learning about (and trying!) hammocking.

Welcome to the forums. You've come to the right place to learn all about hammocks. More info here than you'll be able to assimilate in a long time.

Careful though - many here suffer from hammock gear addiction.

Welcome to HF. Have you checked out your home state product, Clark Jungle Hammocks, which I believe is in Salt Lake. Don't know how far you live from there but whether you buy one or buy one of the other hammocks discussed here a factory tour might be interesting.

No I haven't checked them out. I wasn't aware of the brand, or that they were based here.

I will check them out, thanks!
