IMHO that is a good choice. I promise though Im not bias . I dident mention it because you did not mention it in your orginal post and tought you wanted it from one of the two vendors you mentioned. But I really enjoyed working with StormCrow. He was excellent in regards to communicating with me and developing a perfect TQ and UQ to fit my needs. Just be ready for a bit of a wait. Trust me though when I say the wait is TOTALLY MORE then worth it. . Let us know what you decide and end up getting. And Pictures lots and lots of pictures.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Thanks for the kind words LRR. Also, wait times are getting shorter all the time. They were a little lengthy in the past due to sales and holiday orders coupled with new business hiccups (I was not prepared for the volume of orders I received) but things are smoothing out more every day. Again, my appreciation goes out to those who rode out the rocky beginnings...(still a little rocky). I would say in a month or less I will actually have some stock to draw from...

I go over the winter mamba in detail in this video

My 3 season mamba is in transit to my house today

JRB, WB, or Storm Crow's top quilts are all top notch so you cant go wrong in any direction you go.

By all appearances each is a good product from good people.

As with most things, every plus has a minus. The JRB quilts offer the benefit of working as top or under quilts. The downside is the draw string and and omni-tape created footbox isn't a nice as with the dedicated top quilts.

Your right and that is the tough part. I've used my Nest as a TQ and half the time the omni tape pulls apart shortly after a few toss and turns. This is probaby my only doubt on the HR. But In the same once your footbox is sewn it's a done deal. Makes choice tough

I don't have a HR, but I do have the No Sniveler and Old Rag Mountain. I like the flexibility of using them either on top or bottom. The omni tape footbox never seems to be an issue for me since there is also a tie off at the end of the omni tape.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the quilt vendors on here. The superior customer service and overall goodwill on this forum makes me more of a hammock fan than I would have been otherwise.
