You could do the wrap with an andustable whoopie. If you follows the search and rescue method of wrap three pull two that should disperse the load enough to not cause problems to the trees.

Ok, I'm going to go off-reservation here and suggestion something new....

I think it would be safe to say that the Hammock Hangin' Shug Style... Essentials For Noobs very likely might have been the best innovation for the hammock industry this year.

I could be very wrong here, but I would be willing to bet that Shug has brought hundreds of new people into the hammocking world, because of his youtube videos, and thus probably brought tens of thousands of dollars into the hammock cottage industry.

So, my vote goes to the Shug Video series!

I think I have to agree with Redwood Guy... If it were not for Shug I may not have found the Forums here and would not have a quarter of the knowledge I currently have about Hanging... Thanks Shug for creating yet another addict!

Perhaps we should all just start voting for "the second most innovative HAMMOCK product this year"?

Looks like the gold is taken.

Although I might be a bit hasty, we'll have to see....

Perhaps, but that would cause abrasion to the dynaglide, its only 2.2mm thick.

This thread has motivated me to get off my butt and order some Whoopie Slings. I hadn't yet b/c I thought I'd have time to make them...but that hasn't happened yet so I just ordered some yesterday morning. Gotta wait for black to come in, but that's fine.

    Whoopie Slings first.

    Nacrabiner second.

Both are old ideas, but new to hammocks.

I cannot vote for Dutch Clips for the simple reason that TeeDee has eliminated webbing from our gear and so I have never used them.

Ya know ... I was thinking hardware ... products ... didn't even think about the videos and information. I definitely think one of the best things to come out this year was Shug's set of video's covering all the aspects of Hammock hanging and lolly gagging. I'd say it along will do more for hammock hanging promotion and understanding than anything out there. Well done and informative ... can't ask for much more than that.

WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.
