    Snap!

    hahaha
my stock rope system went down...with me in it!
the rope wich runs through the sewed up channel on my grand trunk is the rope that snapped ..i thought these were supposed to hold alot more than my 350 lbs...maybe the STUPID S HOOKS chaffed them up a little then gave way!

any hoo, i took out 2 tow straps and ran them through the sewn channel and just used the strap for my only suspension and this seemed more sturdy to me,and i felt more comfortable laying in it now.

im glad i was only a foot off the ground as my big arse would have went to the hospital!

i was also going to try out my new tarp ridgeline that lonetracker made for me..he makes awesome stuff!
but when i went down i quickly fixed the problem then packed her up still bieng a little gunshy.

just wanted to drop in and tell you all! lol

Been there before Bowguy. Get back on the horse, it'll be fine.
Send a note to Skeeter Beeter, tell them the story.

There was a problem with rope on the ATHH that we had a group review of. Some of them snapped. If I remember correctly it was linked to the S-hooks. Don't try to make it work. Just replace the suspension with a good design and sleep like a baby.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Wow, hopefully no one gets seriously injured with these Grand Truck hammocks. I had the S hook itself snap on me, dumping me on the ground and covering me with the cereal I was eating. Took the hammock right on back to the store for a refund.
