What size do most people use ??

The 1600 pound rated stuff is 7/64". Should be more than ample. What do the rest of you think? Hey my first post here!

I prefer the 1/8. Fortunately I don't live far from a West Marine store and they carry it.

Thanks for the info guys. I just ordered 1/8" black Amsteel blue through Redden Marine and I used Hammockforum as my coupon code and it worked.

Let me check. I know Ive got some.. just not sure how much. Ive been using it for testing.... So Ive been slowly burning it up.

I use 7/64". It's quite a bit less expensive than 1/8" and is stronger than other stuff I have used in the past, including some rope I made in Venezuela from some polypropylene twine.
