trip planning for july..

Hey all
my family and i are planning a trip .the week of july 18th to Colorado .we will be staying in Ft. collins . and go from there.. planning on spending time in the RMNF. while resurching a 3to5 day hike . i called the forest dept. about a backcounrty pass .. they told me hammocks can not be attached to the trees in the park. so thats out.. so im looking for advice on what to do here.
this whole backcountry pass is turning into more of a pain than its worth.So would there be any HF hangs planned for this time? would any of you have any sugestions on where else i could plan for .or where you guys like to go.outside the park?

anyone? after talking to a ranger on the phone .i also found out when apllying for a backcounrty pass in the rocky mountain national forest. you have to provide a full itinerary and can only stay/camp in a designated camp sites ,along with not being able to hang my hammock in the park. this kind of ruinined my plans.this is kind of disapointing. as hammocks leave less of a foot print on the land.. but if you have a camper or a tent your fine.
