OK, I got the low-down on my schedule for the weekend. I'll be coming out Saturday afternoon with my daughter. Wish we could do both nights, but Friday is just not feasible... She has a Girl Scout function and I have an overloaded work schedule.

    See ya'll Saturday!

    Update:

After last night's rain, the weather's clearing and warming.

I spent the better part of yesterday helping my wife with the window boxes and planting flowers. So, I still have to food shop and should be there by (hopefully) 5 PM.

looks as if we all will be hitting the hang around 5, 45 min of work left for me as of now, then pick up savvy(daughters trail name) then a lil shopping she wants pancakes for breakfast, is it feasable to make more than 1 trip from parking to campsite or is the terrain to much? got pack, folding chairs, cooler of adult beverages, e.t.c.

It's about a 1/4 mile from the road to the camp. Two trips would be easy. Another option is to cook near the road by the cabin where there is a fire pit (that's where the chili will be happening. Dang if I'm going to carry 3 dutch ovens ANYWHERE )

I'm hopping in the shower and then out the door.

I've got to say thanks to Canoeski for putting this together. It was great meeting everybody, dayhiking around and watching the girls play and have a good time. It's great seeing kids that have the interest of the outdoors in them. I believe Savy had a great time learning all she did with her own private naturalist by her side the whole weekend.

The $20,000 chili recipe was worth $20,312.46 in my book because I would pay a premium to have that again. The same for the cornbread and baked apples.

Once again, thanks to everybody for a great time in a very beautiful area.
