    Wow, thanks everyone!

Those heavy utility straps look like a solid option, but I'm loath to hacksaw the buckles off; apart from everything else it just seems like a waste of two perfectly good buckles. I'll ask if REI has polypro webbing on-site -- noticed the physical stores often have stuff the website doesn't, and vice versa.

So I'm looking for 12-15 footers with loops at both ends... would Home Depot or (if I can find one) a climbing supply store have usable ones with loops pre-sewn? Theoretically I'd be fine with tying knots in the ends, but it would make packing and transportation a little more unwieldy.

I guess I'll just go with the Omega Pacific rings; and just a final question, would just clipping the rings to the ENO biners work? Seems like they might slide around too much without tension or under shifting strain, which could be bad. I guess I could always use two more carabiners.

Climbing stores will more often than not have nylon webbing, something thats dynamic. You may get lucky, however. Daisy Chains may work out for you.

Im not sure if the rings would work with the webbing if you clipped them in the biner. Its not difficult to remove the cord thats in the ENO channel and replace it with a length that has the rings built into it.
