Congratulations and enjoy the hanging around! Did you get the optional webbing suspension or just the ropes?

I got the straps also. I've got a son who loves hammock camping as well as a friend who will be using one or the other on our 11 day trip later this year. I have a set of straps for my HH and didn't want to leave one hammock short of the straps if I had an extra person along for a weekender or whatever.

The HH will be my warm weather and "quick and light" system. The NX will be for my paddling trips, overnighters here and there and for comfy base camping type trips. I will also be tricking out the Clark little by little to truly make it my own and to stretch the temperature range a little.

It looks as if I'll have to have a few overnight practice hangs on the local trail to get this one right.

I have a HH and am planning on ordering a NX-250 soon. My plans are similar - the HH for hot weather and the Clarks for cooler/rainier. I like to canoe camp, and I think I might use the Clarks more often for that, as it makes a better shelter if one has to go to ground.

The weather shield with the Clark just makes it that little bit warmer. I always leave my head uncovered though. I like to look around and breathe fresh air. I still had to get an underquilt. I got a really like one and it works great.
