    Did y'all see the shallow (near dry) pond on your right? If so, the trail going to spring tree was on your left just as you got to the far (south) side of the pond.
    You can throw a rock from one to the other w/o even trying
    I too will something make and joy in it's making

    Certainly! It's shaping up to be a trip with all the right ingredients. We'll have some cool gear, visit some interesting (and steep) places and likely encounter rapidly changing weather. We'll meet one new guy, Legs, who will hang with us for the first time.

    It's been 30 years since MedicineMan and I have been to the Chimneys! Both of us went as Boy Scouts.
