If you go to walmart, in the camping section next to the tarps, they have a 2-pack of 15 foot ratchet straps for $10. 1800 lb breaking strength. 1" polyester I think.

Albert, I've purchased a similar product as this, muletape. Works fine for me. There are several sources on the web.
Holds a knot okay, but some has a slick lubricant.

found some ratchet straps on sale at home depot for circa $3 a piece with 900lb breaking strength, 15' lengths. i think the material is polypro
I use these:

they say 300 pound capacity, with a breaking point three times that which would be 900 pounds.
