Someone on the forum tested the tubing to 0 degrees F. Don't remember who. I'm out of town right now but will look at the label when I get home as I thought it had a temp spec on it. I have no idea on bungees but have had Theraband lose its stretch around freezing temps.

Im talking about the fixed eye in the end of the line that doesnt have the tensioner.
That is exactly what i wanted to do, but we didn't have mine on the tarp this way for the last trip.
If they had been it would have been great to use our last night out....it was pouring and i woke up and started to drop everything because i was getting wet. The one side of my tarp though was on a hill and when i brought it down the tensioner prevented me from even using the line at all, when dropped from the hiking pole my tarp was about an inch off the ground on that hill side....i ended up grabbing a different stake and putting it through the little plastic ring, the stake though i would not have had if we hadn't been car camping and my stakes wouldn't have fit.
I am only one person though and i already have mine with both loops, this was just one instance where if mine had been on that way i would have used the loop you are speaking of.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once. Jennifer Unlimited

Occurred to me that you don't really need that second fixed eye. You can marlin spike hitch the stake to long part of the line anywhere and move the prussik right up to it. Would accomplish the same thing as Grizz showed on the video with the other fixed eye.
