    Fabrics-n-Stuff

    Greetings.

I just wanted to share a pleasant shopping experience with all you DIYers out there. Fabrics-n-Stuff is a dirt cheap UK-based net shop for, well, fabrics and stuff.

    http://www.fabrics-n-stuff.co.uk/

I had a question mailed in earlier today, and even though it's saturday, the owner answered within a few hours. Drawback of having a homebased operation, Chris (the owner) said, haha.

He quickly resolved my issue, and I placed an order. Now, because he's based in the UK and I'm in Sweden, there were some peculiarities with the shipping fee, which came out to a whopping £1000!

Back to sending emails back and forth. Apparently he'd had problems with people in Israel ordering stuff and not paying for shipping, so for international shipping we had to jump through some hoops to get the order properly fee'd and paid for.

He uses Royal Mail for int'l shipping, so the true cost of shipping came to about £20 for my order. After fiddling some with my order he promptly sent a paypal invoice for the correct amount, and here I am, happy as Larry.

Now I'm just waiting for my super secret extra tough cotton kevlar fireproof mix fabric to arrive. And I'm not even peeved that it might take some extra time on account of that volcano on Iceland.

Chris, good job, excellent customer service. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
