    Whoopie slip

I've had in time that I started using whoppie slings that I slip a little during the night about 1-3 inches.
    Well I'm about 5' 11" and 230lbs.
    Any ideas?

How long is your bury and did you get it from Opie or AHE. I swear I had one slip a little too.

Me too last night. I started off at about 6 to 8 inches from the ground when in the hammock and woke up about 2 inches from the ground while in the hammock. I got mine from Opie.

Green 8 footers from Opie. Ridge line does not even move.

use a small bit of fine gauge wire, like some use to do their splicing, carefully insert it at the top of the bury (tree side) being sure to miss the strands and go in between them. if you put it right at the bury exit, and the bury is milked so that it should hold, then you know if any line has slipped if the wire moves farther from the bury.

Never had a whoopie slip after the initial settling. Mostly what I've seen is the straps stretching and sliding down the tree a bit as they settle in. The bury itself looks bulletproof to me.

I got my whoopies from AHE and had the same problem the first time I set them up I slipped all the way to the ground then I realized in my eagerness to set them up I had hooked them up wrong. After taking a second to think about it I realized that the way I had them hooked the bury wasn't sinching beyond my hand tightening and that the bury needed to be in line with the tension of the system. A quick flip and I was in business.
