Long time hanger, first time poster

Hello, all. I can't believe it took me this long to find this place! I bought my Hennessy Expedition back in September 2002, so this is the 9th season I will be using it. I've been out with it twice so far this year already. We had a surprise snow storm during the most recent trip out to some land owned by a friend's family (I'm on the right):

    Monday @ 6:00 pm

    Tuesday @ 7:00 am

The weather forecast the previous night said "chance of light drizzle or snow flurries", so we covered up the wood and I put up my siltarp, just in case. Good thing I did. Anyway, looking forward to reading and learning and posting here!

Welcome. For many of us, it has been a wealth of learning. For a long time hanger, it's a pooling of mostly great ideas.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

Slopes: When I discovered a thread about down booties (most of my friends just look at me funny when I wear them around the camp site), I knew I had found my place in the world.

Scottybdiving: Thanks! I've been using my HH exactly as intended for the past 8 years. It has never needed repairs, and I've not modded it at all. I bring along an 8'x10' siltarp to keep out the rain, but that's about it. I look forward to discovering new ways of making my setup faster, and what neat gadgets I can add to the hammock.

One of these times we will have to have a hang for all our fellow Canadians. Too bad there is so much distance between us all.
