well, this maybe a little late....hehe but i finally got around to it. I'm going to go ahead and set the date for the crater lake trip of 2011 for the 21st-28th of august. activities are open for discussion. due to group size regs we may have to divide into 2 or more groups depending on the number of people that commit to showing up.
here's my idea: a leisurely stroll around the rim, retreating each day to the camping safety of the hills each evening, possibly do some of the summits for views of the lake and maybe a night or 2 at the lodge for tourist activities.. boat rides, fishing (no license needed!), swimming etc.
