More the PARENTS than the boys for sure. They expect their sons to be handed the Eagle patch upon joining the troop!

    welcome midway!
Gotta point out though that making a hammock is not entirely "whole hog". A good start to be sure. Now for whole hog you'll be gearing up for DIY
    • hammock
    • customized suspension
    • hammock sock
    • overquilt
    • underquilt
    • over cover
    • weather cover

oh oh oh, I forgot, the neat custom stuff like Jerry chairs and tarp beaks and packs that turn into bridge hammocks.

then after you do that all once or twice or three times, you discover New Materials! and do it all over again in Cuben.

oh oh oh, I forgot, the neat custom stuff lik

and the cost....your kids didn't really want to go to college anyway.

but you're on the way and methinks we'll be seeing pictures from your shop shortly

dang I thought this was about Whole Hog BBQ

Hey, Midway...welcome to the best diversion to feed your curiosity. I'm right down the road off of US 60 and Old Frankfort Pike and regularly cycle through Midway. Before you get all Yak shavin' crazy, you should attend the Red River Gorge Hang on Memorial Day weekend. There will be a lot of different rigs that you can check out before going whole hog on this endeavor. If you can't make it, I've got an extra HH Expedition that you could try on for size and comparison.

Or you could always go the DIY route and open that Pandora's box of addiction.

    Enjoy!

US 60 & Old Frankfort, eh? Franklin or Woodford county. If'n you're in Woodford, I'll most likely be on the big green fire truck that shows up if your house ever catches on fire. If you're in Franklin, you're in good hands as well.

I responded to the RRG Hangout thread that I am busy that weekend with Boy Scout commitments. I'll have to catch the next hangout...

    Sam,

    Welcome to the forum.

As an extra added bonus when you are operating the boards at the music events, throw your hammock in with the gear. You will be amazed at the places you can hang around and relax during the slow times. I have only had my hammock for a year now and wish I had done this a lot sooner.

    Enjoy.

Actually, the county line bisects our farm. I'm in Franklin County with a Frankfort address and my uncle is in Woodford County with a Midway address. Good to know we're covered on both sides.
