Why hasn't anybody bought this thing yet?
It's a great quilt and winter isn't nearly as far off as you might think.

At that price, it's a no-brainer bargain... if I did not have plenty of down already, I would own this one!

After July 4 the price should go back up, right?

The reasons this probally hasn't sold is that it's summer time. And it's also a very specfic piece of equipment only used for very cold weather.

Yes, but this is gearhead central. Such trivial issues are of no importance.
Funny, I think every winter quilt I have was either bought, or built, during warmer months. My way of rebelling against the heat.

Karl, is that a MINUS 10F? Good grief! Were you using anything to boost it, like a pad or vapor barrier or space blanket?

Are yo a real warm sleeper?

    Were you shivering?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, as it is rated as low as zero. I guess some warm sleepers could go even lower. I did an extremely windy( with some wind getting past the tarp) 18*F and a calmer 11*F in mine, no problem. Does that count?

    BB58, et al,

Most consider the JRB ratings for quilts conservative to very conservative...JRB stated ratings are for neutral sleepers in seasonally appropriate base layer and adequate head cover of choice.

I had my MWUQ4 on a WBBB at a measured -2F with a steady wind blowing snow thru my tarp all night, and no pad or anything to supplement. I could see -10F without a problem. And I'm no anti-freeze-blooded neo.

I'd buy it but I have the same problem he does. It just does not get cold enough down here for that kind of insualtion.
