Thanks for all the compliments! I am shooting for the $325 range which I know is expensive but its takes alot of cuben which is also expensive. Send me and email ([email protected]) or a PM if you are interested and we can talk about the details along with time frames.

Sub 10oz for this tarp is absolutely amazing. Love the design :wink wink:.

The Winter Dream comes in at 21-22oz with silnylon, so this weight for the size in cuben is just plain astounding.

Looks very well built. It's great to see more Cuben availability for this community.

Thanks,,, That’s what I get for looking at the tarp and not paying attention to the information…

Over the last several months I have received quite a few requests asking if I could build another one of these tarps. Well I have decided to do a small production run of 12.

Here are some specifics of the proposed production tarp.

The production tarp will also have an 11' ridgeline but I plan to increase the overall length to 14' for added rough weather protection. It will also be 9' wide and have doors on both ends. Instead of the steep 1" per foot cat cut the production tarp will have a 1/2" of cat curve per foot which will give an extra 2" of bottom side protection in rough weather. I plan to ditch the line-locs and the panel tie-outs since they are not needed. The finished weight should be right at 10oz which would make this the worlds lightest 4 season hammock tarp.

They will have to be more like $375.00 and it will take about 6-8 weeks before I receive the material so if you are interested please let me know so we can talk more about the details and potential time lines.

I like what I see and agree with the idea to do away with the line-locs. With a tarp that size, why are the panel tie-outs not needed?

lol this is the same design I sent to Joe over at Z-Packs 11 RL 8.5 W and 13 long edges. Although Joe said it would come in around 6-7 oz. Boy I can wait cuben is an amazingly light weight material. But when it comes down to it I my BWWD and will certainly be my go to tarp of choice.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Cuben has no stretch and won't sag like silnylon so panel tie-outs are not needed but if they are preferred I will include them. The reason the tarp from Joe is so light is because he uses a lighterweight cuben CT1K.08 .51oz. I use the CT2K.08 .75oz which has .24oz of extra dyneema/spectra fibers. The extra weight makes the material alot stronger..

    best multi purpose tarp going

This 4 season cuben tarp has got to be the best general purpose tarps going. At under 10 oz. I can't imagine ever leaving it at home.

I've done a lot or tarp research in recent months. I've wished I had a 4 season on my recent trips when the wind kicked up unexpectedly. I seem to sleep warm into the teens as long as there is no wind. And with moonsoons on their way I'm concerned about staying dry this summer under my diamond tarp.

Anyone else with a 4 season cuben mind posting your experience? I'm ready to order one today!

    Cheers!
