I am also looking for a trangia. Any place online to get them for a reasonable price(Not ebay)? I live in western Wisconsin and work in MN.
Campsaver has them, REI has them, and most Army/Navy surplus stores carry them.
Campsaver has them on sale for $12.00.
Ambulo tua ambulo.
thanks Gargoyle I just ordered one from campsaver.
Plus one on the eBay suggestion. Going price is usually around $16-25, plus shipping. The full mess kits weigh around 2.5 lbs. You're cooking in aluminum, which I'm not crazy about.
Love my Trangia. At 4 oz it's a heck of a stove. Real simmer ability. Slow to boil, but uses less fuel overall than faster alky stoves.
PS. Have the Westwind stand; not intended for smaller pots (snow peak trek 900 does not balance on it for instance). Plan on using a foil windbreak.
I found a place in the internet that sell trangia stove itself for $4.99 each their the real thing. they also sell the fuel bottle, the gasket and the simmer.
