    Hello from MN

I've been poking around for a few months now, and thought it time that I stop in and say hi, before I start my volley of questions...

My name is Rob, I'm married with 2 wonderful kids. We all love camping and hiking. In my pre-kids days, I would go out bushcrafting and survival camping for weeks at a time. Our dream is to build our own cabin up north someday...

Currently, my little ones are 3 and 1. We still manage to get out about 45-60 days a year camping, hiking, and snowshoeing... I hope the kids grow to love it as much as I do.

From this winter... 2 and a half, and already a pro snowshoer...

I have been hammock camping a few times, and it's something I would like to do more of. I found my way to the forum via the Hennessey Hammock Clone, which I am getting started on.

I really enjoy making and customizing my own gear, and am excited to venture into custom hanging!

Thanks for the great resource, and what looks like a great community.

    Welcome aboard!

My littlest started downhill skiing at 2, ice skating at 3, and this year at 4 added XC-skiing as well. Gotta get 'em started young here, otherwise it's a LOOOOONG winter!!!!

Welcome to the forum, hope to see you in the piney woods!

Welcome to the forum. If you haven't already checked them out have a look at Jeff's " To the woods " site and also shugs video's for new folks, lot of good info there.

    welcome!

there are so many of you Twin Cities hangers on HF now you ought to run a "Stealth Hang" over in Lake Nokomis park! Steath because likely the city fathers would frown on overnight camping. But the peace officers are looking for vagrants tucked under bushes, so just use jungle hammocks and hang high.

Made a vid, we'll be sure to know it's real for all the jets landing at MSP in the background
