Nice! I love fresh caught fish for dinner when I'm camping. It's been a looooong time since I've had it.
Is there a sign up sheet for what people can bring for the pot-luck dinner? Mama Bear's a really good cook.

We haven't started one "officially" yet but you can go ahead and toss something out there. You did see that we were planning to do a "Low-Country, Beaufort Frog Goulash" ( . . . i.e. shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes) as the main dinner for Sat night right? Hopefully we will get word from Fulminated that he can get hold of some shrimp from his buddy (assuming here that we should contribute to the cost...). I think a list will come shortly once we know about the shrimp situation.

Talked with the guy today. He's going to get back to me on 5lbs of 15-20cnt shrimp w/ heads on. I'll pop the heads myself and freeze them. It's best to get them as soon as possible and get them cleaned and ready to thaw and cook.

Fulminated. . . . is 5 lbs the max he can supply to us? When we get closer to date and see that we may need more, can we get more? I'd be happy to contribute and could get you $$$ ahead of time if needed. Otherwise I can check here locally and see what I can p/u.

No, that's not the most I can get. That's what I figured for the amount of people that seem to be coming at this point. I still haven't heard back from the guy about whether he's actually going to be doing any shrimping this year or not.

I no longer have access to a boat or cast net, so I can't go get them myself.

    Priceless!

Why is it funny or priceless? The guy I used to go shrimping with sold his boat stopped fishing and shrimping, and the guy I'm getting them from for this trip is a commercial shrimper. I'd just be in the way on his boat.
