That sounds good Kate, I'm with you on the temp. It will he hot unless we paddle in the rain and I can handle that too. It's good to have paddlers along that like to explore!
Hey Muskrat, how's the motor boat traffic on this lake? And how far... miles wise is that hidden lake you talked about?

Thnx again to Muskrat for letting me borrow his HH! I did just order a GT Ultralight but doubt it will get here in time plus i don't have the WB Bugnet for it.

Anyhow, any midlands hammockers(irmo, lexington, greater columbia) wanna coordinate? I'll be heading out early Sat. morning and I'm borrowing my bro-in-laws 2-3 person canoe.

I am guessing that Fulminated and I will be ariving some time around 10am. Friday.
For me personaly I will not be coordinating to meet with anyone at Moon's Landing. The only reason that I say this is because it is a 5 minute paddle and I might wait at the ramp longer than 5 min for someone to get there. Just not worth it to me.
I am just going to get to the landing and head to the island to meet up with people at that point.

I am interested in a group paddle later on. I would like to paddle around and checking out the Hidden Lake that Muskrat is talking about.

Lake Greenwood is a narrow lake for the most part and boat traffic is fairly active. I wouldn't go as far to say that its unsafe for paddling but I would strongly encourage staying along the shoreline. Hidden Lake appears to be just under 4 miles from Goat Island, but that does not include paddling "into" Hidden Lake. Hidden Lake Is becoming developed so its not as secluded as its name would lend. If you are wanting less development and more of a natural setting, I'd head towards the State Park. The coves there seem to be less developed.

I strongly urge Everyone to bring fishing poles. If you have little kids and you want them to have fun catching some small easy bream you will catch them til you get sick of catching them.
