When I sleep straight down the middle I put a jacket in between the knees and when i sleep on the diagonal i don't "kneed" one

Me too except sometimes I use my ripstop wind layer stuff sack under my knees.
Oldman -- saw your note a few weeks ago about using the Ursack I assume in Oly.
The park in general 'frowns' on un-hung un-lined Ursacks in the BC in bear areas ... but last year the metal liner addition was OK.
One of the WICs will flash a goat chewed bag at you if you say 'Ursack' in the building.
Right now I do not know exactly what to tell you about 2010 it may change .. good luck. We have 2 bags too plus 2 small Bearvaults and 2 large Bearvaults.

Its usually pants, or whatever drifts down to the knee area, or up from the bum area when I first get into the hammock. Coat, pants, just not shoes, as they have too many hard parts I'm usually too sleepy to care, just take the minor leg pressure away and I am happy.
