    tarp strap

    Hi
I made a small mod for my tarp, neo 9x9 today. On my last trip I tried rolling up the tarp to pack it up as you would with snake skins, but as I am stuffing my tarp, as soon as I walked to one end to undo the "9" it would unroll of cause
So today I made a short strap out of webbing with velco at each end.
Now I roll it up then wrap the strap around the middle of the tarp and then undo the "9", much better

so you're saying that you rolled it up to make a neater package for packing, but you were not using snake skins?
    if so, that makes sense.
do you just pack it in an out side pack pocket w/ no skins or bag like some others do?
I too will something make and joy in it's making

I rolled it up as it seemed easier to handle the tarp that way, then I stuffed it into a water proof bag and packed it into my pack, you would have seen the photos of the type of bush we were hiking through and if you have anything on the outside of your pack it quickly becomes ruined.
So now I can roll it up, put the strap around it then pack it up as you would a hammock with a BB style bag.
