Poppabear, hope your brother is ok.
I was planning on attending but had to bail out. After hammock camping since last Sunday along the Blue Ridge Parkway, my wife and I got to the site on Thrusday and after she figured out how far she would have to hike to use the little girls room she decided it was not for her.
She told me next time I should plan on going by myself.
Hope everyone has a good time. I was looking forward to winning all the raffel items.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Without going into a whole boatload of detail, a good time is being had by all. Burgers are eaten, raffle is done and the campfire is now ablaze. I'm sure everyone will have their own stories from this great hang, but it's been a hoot! The MAHHA hang is always worth the drive and now has truly whetted my appetite for the Linville Gorge hang. Ahhhhh. . . .the big ditch now calls.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone I truly appreciate it. My brother had a quadruple bypass. He should be moved out of ICU in the mourning. He is in good spirits and seems to be doing as well as can be expected. So Mommabear and I intended to fly home tomorrow afternoon. I trust that everyone at the MAHHA hang is having a great time. It seem as as if mother nature has blessed you with some really nice fall weather. I am anxiously waiting to see the trip reports and pictures.

Sounds like I missed another fine trip
Maybe I'll make the spring MAHHA.
I moved the later portion of this thread to a new thread titled MAHHA 2010 Report, so it'll be easier to find the beginning & the end.
