    This is getting bad...

So I've been converted. like bad.

When I go for a bike ride down the trail it's usually 25-30 miles of riding. When I get to the turn around point (usually a spot with tree cover) I'll break for lunch. Eat a snack, rehydrate then lay back with my helmet on the ground, camelpack on that for a head rest.

Then this morning it hit me as I was loading everything into the pannier. "wow... i could fit my hammock in here."

    SO I DID!

While cruising down the trail an old friend happened to get on the trail as I was going under the underpass. We rode together and rested at the same spot catching up. Up went the hammock.

We sat around for probably a half hour... well in reality he sat on the cold damp ground and I laid back in comfort.

    Yeah this is a keeper.

And as if this is any surprise he wants one also. Since I'm all out of materials I sent him to a local outfitters here called "Canfields" they have the Grand Trunk Double hammocks on sale right now for $49.99. So I think he's picking one of those up.

After we ate he goes "that looks comfortable let me try it.

I don't bike as far as you, but yeah, I keep my little travel hammock on my rail trail bike! I love biking and then stopping somewhere for lunch and then laying back and napping or reading a book for a while. Then it's back to home. What a great way to spend a few hours. Biking and relaxing in my hammock. It's a great combination!
