Does anyon know where to buy the thin 1/2" spectra webbing used in climbing slings, (mammut?) It is ridiculously strong, and more importantly not stretchy. I know it comes on some cool colors, I would love to find 40'-50' of it in OD & black, I thnk that I could rig an integral ridgeline & suspension system w/ aluminum rings, the webbing would also be the tree-hugger" portion of the suspension and go around tree and back to the double rings to be cinched and backup-knotted.

It may not be cheaper than whoopie slings, but as a single continuous piece with a couple knots it should be VERY strong and stretch resistant...

Just need a source for continuous stuff, the climbing community tends to sew (bar-tack) this stuff as it can be slippery (too slippery to tie and un-tie for each climbingsetup) , so manufacturers may not want to sell it by the foot,
