I think that Mac is still working to get his new websites up and running. Here's a link to a sticky thread he just started on his quilts.

Stormcrow's quilts are nice indeed and have a little extra length and width. I'm thinking a small light sheet with the 3 season nest is plenty. You can hang the nest loose for hotter days and snug for those days that get a little cooler. Also, the nest can move toward the feet or head if your pone to getting colder there.

I just got Mac's Symmetrical Medium IX UQ's ... won't be a UQ virgin for long ... $60 and really light and compact, think it is well under 8 oz but haven't weighed it.

    Sorry, I missed this earlier...

$60 for a two layer nestable IX UQ with InsulTubes Torso Heater sewn-in insert, plus $10 insured S&H.

$80 for a one IX layer 5-in-1 Jerry Chair with InsulTubes Torso heater sewn-in insert, plus $10 per additional layer of IX, plus $10 insured S&H.

We have such a cornucopia of gear hear at HF! How do you decide between Speer, Perfect Trees, AHE, JRB, WB, TeWa, etc.?

Well I missed that boat. I weighed the Arrowhead Equip 1S 2/3rds quilt last night. 11.4 ounces in its stuff sack and including the 2 micro carabiners supplied.

You can find pictures of it along with pictures of the Arrowhead Aquasimple in this set: http://picasaweb.google.com/10183607...ToSnickersGap#

It is a very nice quilt and like I said, no need to worry about it slipping off

That's also my strategy. Our cottage vendors are such a valuable resource around here and I do my best to support them all with my business.

    D'Oh!

The Post Office scale says the Med Sym IX UQ w InsulTubes and extra layer and shock cords actually weigh about 8.3 oz. They must've caught an updraft while I was holding them.
