I am looking at trying to get the lightest possible UQ for summer that will still allow me to stay warm but am wondering what others out there are doing. I typically like the full length UQ for spring, fall and winter because I toss a lot in my sleep and hate trying to keep a pad under me and a 3/4 length quilt. I've tried them to no avail. I have been eying a JRB Shenandoah UQ for some time and am thinking of pulling the trigger with their sale, but was wondering if all I really needed was a 3/4 UQ with no leg insulation, which I already have in a Te-Wa UQ?
This setup would be primarily used here in the hot and humid VA/DC/MD/NC summers when the evening temps may dip no lower than 50-55 or so. Do I need to even bother with leg insulation beyond the footbox of my UQ in these situations? If you aren't even using an UQ what are you using? Thanks.
