    Trail diversion.....

In 10 days I leave for a hike in CT and MA. This paddle trip was a nice diversion from hiking and will be a good contrast when I hit the AT.
On this trip I got to play with the MacIX UQ, the Unsponsored hammock sock as bugnet, use the Eagle-J stove with charcoal among other things.
We saw 2 eagles and a hundred bullfrogs mating and a plethora of wildflowers. We met several hikers from Kansas City doing the Gregory Bald loop and we were given impromptu fly fishing lessons from a man who could a Babe Ruth did and pick the spot.
We were out 3 days, 2 of which were beautiful but did spend 24 hours in the rain/wind/lightening but on the last day the sun returned.
