AT Section Hike

I received news halfway through the trip that my dear friend Patrick Fenneran died. He courageously battled leukemia for nearly a year. I thought we would have a little more time with him. I had to come home to grieve and support his family…

We did manage to cover a little over 64 miles of some of the most beautiful trail we’ve experienced thus far. It is always great to be out there…

Thanks for sharing your videos with us. Losing a friend is always hard. My sympathies go out to you and your friends family. Remember the good times it will make the healing process easier.

Thanks Poppabear... He talked regularly about wanting to try out hammocking when he beat it... Good memories...

I'm very sorry for your loss. Sounds like you were each lucky to have each other as friends. Thanks for sharing your photos. I've now made 2 trips to that area and your pictures reminded me of how much I enjoyed my time there.

I too am sorry about your friend Patrick...see it every day here where I work, never good.
Thanks for sharing the pics of your section hike....helps me relive that part of the AT and that section is worth reliving over and over again.

Thank you to all for your words and prayers of condolence and comfort.
We had an awesome worship service celebrating Patrick's life and God's goodness.
Please continue to remember and pray for his wife and 5 & 7 years old kids.
The sucky part begins...

Such beautiful scenery there Scott... My condolences to you, Patrick's family and everyone else that knew Patrick. Just remember the He never gives us more than we can stand. Great is His love and His grace!
